Riding on a narrow stretch of Mandeville Canyon Road, the rider and his bicycling partner were injured last year when the Brentwood physician slammed on his car brakes.

It was heartening to read Ted Lux's editorial ("Peddling a Bike-Friendly L.A." in the Aug. 10 issue) calling for more bicycling and the nfrastructure to support it here in Los Angeles.
